As a piece of flagrant advertising, I will be on the Heather Trust stall at the Scottish Game Fair this weekend at Scone – any readers who are passing by should drop in for a chat and maybe a cup of coffee. You may find yourself enlisted to the ranks of the Heather Trust, but it will all be in the spirit of the occasion – We’ll be in the GWCT education tent to talk about heather beetle, bracken control and the new golden plover award for moorland management, as well as range of other heathery/grousey/moorland subjects.

Here’s hoping that the weather improves and that it’ll be a weekend of sunshine…
